July 26, 2017, Montreal, QC – Gazelle.ai, the most powerful global business intelligence platform for forecasting corporate growth, is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Hugh Kelley as Chief Economist. Dr. Kelley will lead the Gazelle.ai team of economists and data scientists who are responsible for developing and training Gazelle.ai algorithms.
Hugh received his Ph.D. in International Economics and Mathematical Psychology from the University of California. Prior to joining the Montreal start-up, Hugh was a Professor of Economics and Finance at the University of Wisconsin. Hugh’s research has been highly interdisciplinary, spanning applied and theoretical contexts, and it reflects an integrated economic, psychological, and natural science methodology. The economic elements of his work involve multiple forms of modeling, including CGE and statistical analysis, micro simulation, frontier neural network and machine-learning, and agent-based methods. Dr. Kelley’s forecasting experience includes traditional univariate time series and multivariate panel approaches, as well as behavioral approaches.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Kelley join the Gazelle.ai team. It’s not every day that we can attract a machine learning leader of his caliber with a specialization in Economics and corporate growth. Hugh is really enthusiastic about joining the Gazelle.ai team and the burgeoning Montreal AI community. He will lead our team of experts pushing the boundaries of methods used to identify early-stage signals for growth and corporate expansion,” says Steven Jast, Gazelle.ai President and Founder of ROI Research on Investment, Gazelle.ai’s parent company.
As Gazelle.ai Chief Economist, Dr. Kelley will be responsible for the data creation, forecasting, and analysis for the platform.
Specifically designed for economic development and deal professionals, Gazelle.ai is a one-stop business intelligence and lead generation platform that forecasts company growth and expansion.
The Gazelle.ai platform was built by an in-house multidisciplinary team, including PhD-level physicists, economists, mathematicians, data scientists and software engineers. It grew out of our desire to find a way to enhance the methods used to identify early-stage signals for growth and corporate expansion.
After two years of rigorous R&D and built upon a combination of artificial intelligence, big data and human expertise, Gazelle.ai was launched in January of this year.
